The Apeks ATX Stage 3 Set is the predecessor of the XTX range and has been used for many years around the world. Tough and simple construction makes the ATX preferred by many divers with modern balancing and cold water performance. Simplicity The ATX and DS4 combination is made to be simple and to work smoothly. The ATX delivers a quiet breathe and only has one adjustment, the Venturi. The Venturi lever prevents the 2nd stage from freeflowing as readily on the surface by redirecting air inside the 2nd stage. Features high-performance regulator boasts an over-balanced first stage coupled with a pneumatically balanced second stage. The smooth, quiet breath is sure to enhance your diving enjoyment. Suitable for coldwater use thanks to its first stage environmental dry seal and second stage heat exchanger. Compatible with EAN40 out of the box. First Stage Uses the DS4 first stageUnique over-balanced, diaphragm design - as the diver descends, the over-balancing feature allows the medium pressure gas in the hose to increase at a rate faster than ambient.
