The first stage is a balanced diaphragm design with the added benefit of an environmentally sealed balance chamber for improved cold water use and reliability. Four low pressure and 2 high pressure ports offer good flexibility for hose routing and attachment for cold water diving. The second stage is connected with a flexible yet tough braided hose with offer a longer life than a standard rubber hose and also protects the hose from UV damage. A heat exchanger is fitted next to the second stage to warm the air flow as it enters the second stage, helping to prevent freezing and free flows. The new legend has been redesigned to be smaller and lighter, offering a more comfortable dive. The new MBS (Master Breathing System) allows dual control over the air flow within the second stage (venturi) and also the inhalation effort.
