Carbon fibre material is both lightweight and strong with a great thermal conductivity needed in 2nd stages. The Bypass Tube and VAD help deliver a smooth breathe by reducing the cause of fluttering and delivering gas more directly to your mouthpiece. A Mesh Grid front cover allows water to pass through but prevents strong currents from affecting the 2nd stage so it won't freeflow even if you're swimming against a strong current.
