The AP Valves SMBCi is a delayed surface marker buoy with a built in self-inflating cylinder to inflate the dSMB quickly and easily. Simply open the valve of the 0.1L cylinder attached to the dSMB and let it float to the surface confident that it will be fully inflated on the surface so boats can see you. Simple OperationFill the 0.1L cylinder from your main tank before the dive and attach it to the SMBCi before you jump in. When you're ready to deploy your dSMB attach it to your reel, unfurl the SMB and open the cylinder valve. If you forget to fill the mini cylinder before the dive you can still inflate the dSMB through the baffle at the bottom like most dSMBs. Colour OptionsRed is the traditional colour for dSMBs and informs the surface of your location and that you intend to surface in this area. Yellow can mean that you have a problem and either require assistance at depth or when you reach the surface. Black has recently been found to be the best colour to be seen against water and contrasts against the brighter Red and Yellow well. Black does not have a defined meaning yet but acts as a Red marker 232 bar Din or A-Clamp fitting. Please note that the SMBCi cylinder cannot be filled directly from a 300 bar cylinder.
